Czech Government has released a statement corrected mistakes made by NUKIB on the day of 17th December.

1.Emphasis NUKIB is independent from the Government, and its conclusion is not based on technical assessment.
2.Prime Minister’s ban to Huawei Phone is premature.
3.NUKIB warns only about systems included in critical information infrastructure or important information systems and does not in any case concern ordinary users and terminal equipment.
4.It is always necessary to ensure the security of cyber security in the interests of national security .
5.NUKIB is not competent to assess the international political situation or the legal and political environment in other States
6.No tenderers should be placed at a disadvantage in procurement procedures concerning information systems that are included in critical information infrastructure or major information systems without serious reasons related to national security.
7.Czech Republic remains open to all legitimate foreign investment and will continue to guarantee a favorable environment for them.

The Security Council of the Czech Republic discussed today the situation caused by an earlier statement of the Czech National Institute for the Cyber and Information Security (NÚKIB) and realized the warning issued by the Institute independently from the government was not based on technological assessment. Huawei is glad to hear that Czech Republic wants to remain open to all legitimate foreign investments and that no bidder should be disadvantaged in any tenders in the field of ICT for the critical infrastructure of the state without strong reasons. Huawei believes that any discrimination based on its origin of the company shall be rectified in the Czech Republic.

Bezpečnostní rada České republiky projednala situaci vyvolanou nedávným vyjádřením Národního úřadu pro kybernetickou a informační bezpečnost (NÚIKB) a shledala, že varování vydané tímto úřadem nezávisle na Vládě ČR nebylo založeno na technologickém posouzení věci. Huawei vnímá pozitivně, že Česká republika chce zůstat otevřena všem legitimním zahraničním investorům a že žádný uchazeč nemá být v zakázkách na dodávky informačních systémů pro kritickou infrastrukturu státu znevýhodněn bez vážných důvodů. Huawei věří, že jakákoli diskriminace založená na původu společnosti bude v České republice napravena.
